When moving large volumes of deliveries within tight lead times, at the right cost and service, the ability to continually appraise and improve is paramount. Any investment in IT needs to produce a system that is ahead of the game, easy to use, fast and enable you to pull data quickly in order to make decisions.
In 2006 we engaged Orion Web Technologies Ltd as our IT partner, for their genuine understanding of logistices, the modular nature of theior systems and their proven ability to deliver solutions for specifically designed purposes.
The resultant moved4u operations system is web based and enables our customers to access it via their browser and have full consignment visibility. Consignments can be booked and then tracked through all handling and delivery processes. Customers have the added opportunity to benefit from automated flow of real time information, including job booking, tracking, exception reporting and of course POD details. They can also have the facility to book and label consignments from their own systems and then export the data to us. These consignments can then be scanned and tracked using their own references and delivered against their own paperwork.
Different computer systems and businesses use different terms to manage their operations yet we are able to provide seamless interchange which can ebale real time flow of appropriate data. Customers can also print personalised bar coded labels and customise the 'look and feel' or the moved4u web system interface to reflect their own corporate identity - making moved4u a part of their own supply chain and invisible to their customers.
We can provide each customer with the ability to generate their own reports, based on their freght traffic, and this can be easily exported to spreadsheets for review within their own processes.
